The majority of the sale’s proceeds went to construct computer labs and fund afterschool programs for inner-city children.

Hiles is famous for buying wine upon its initial release, before the wines were made available to general consumers, and preserving it in his temperature-controlled cellar. These rare bottles of wine run upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars each.
